[00:00:02] Speaker A (KELLY WALKER): This is hustle and pro. I'm Kelly Walker. We have a different episode for you today. I'm walking into Toyota Stadium before an FC Dallas match. So we're going to go behind the scenes. We're going to go upstairs, check out what the production looks like to make this FC Dallas experience in Toyota Stadium happen. Starting from the back of this production room. In stadium. Production room. We've got graphics. So he's working on graphics. We've got replay. Nothing yet here on replay because we're still in pre game. Alan's in charge of everything here, so he's keeping everything running smoothly. Then over here is camera station. So he is watching all the different camera feeds and will determine what's going next and where you're going and all that good stuff again for in stadium. So they're said that the broadcast to Apple, that room is next door. So they take things from the feed that comes out of these cameras, but everything that this guy is working on is all going to be cuts in stadium that people see when we come up here. Sound. So we got some sound boards right now, they're running pre game dj out in the north concourse, but he will be in game sound when we get rolling here in a little bit. All right, next up, we've got this station here is big board graphics. So that's going to be a couple in the hall of Fame end zone as well. So that's what he's working on. Whereas she's got ribbon boards. So let's see if we can point one out. See that board down there goes on the outside edge of the field, like the fence kind of, and it's moving, changing. It's one of the ribbon boards. There's a lot also underneath us, which is on the west side of the stadium that move constantly throughout the game that are like fleet level around the perimeter. And then next up, we've got game clock right now. We got a minute 18 left on the warm up clock. Next to him is the producer. He's keeping everybody on schedule, keeping all the moving parts going here on this row. Then, of course, our friend Chris and the announcer jersey doing pa public announcing in the stadium. On Chris left, we have the spanish broadcast announcer. Spanish announcer. Sorry. We're filming on Star wars night, so as you can possibly see through there, the Star wars graphics are flowing on the screen. [00:02:56] Speaker B (Chris Buccambuso): All right, fans, it's our favorite time of the match. Time to scan that and see if you got the force [00:03:59] Speaker A: Showing the creative video of the players in the Star wars scenes. So we can see it on this guy's computer, but they're on the big screens in the stadium. You might have heard him say, switching to processional. So here comes referees, here comes players. Oh, they look good, those white warm ups. [00:04:30] Speaker B: Get on your feet and make some noise. Here they are tonight. Strike eleven. C Dallas. The captain. Number 17, Nkosi. Number 30, Martin. Number four, Marco. Number 25, Sebastian. Number five. All right. Number 14, O Sierra. Number 21, Manuel. Number 29, Sam. Number eight, Sebastian. Number 16, Vicki. And number 23, Logan, the interim head coach. You actually. Dallas. [00:05:46] Speaker A: He's ready to hit that star button. Hits it. Fireworks kick clocks on. Everybody can breathe. Alright. Coming out of the. What's that called? Scoreboard sound room. Making my way to the press box to get a drink. But just to let you guys know, there's all these different broadcasts going on. Radio, folks, I come into the press box to get a water, thinking, got a few minutes before anything happens. What do you know? FC Dallas scores a goal. So I did not get to show you guys the really fun goal call by Chris with all his energy and voice. So sorry I missed that for you, but Dallas is up 10. Opponents score, not quite as much energy. I'll try to catch one of FC Dallas goal for y'all. So they tied it up. I do have a question. I know it's early on, so there's not going to be a substitution yet, but how do you know when there's one coming? How does that get up here? [00:07:05] Speaker C: Table down there, where there's like three people sitting around a screen? [00:07:11] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:07:12] Speaker C: The fourth of basically, whatever team is doing the substitution, they're going to hand a card to the fourth official and informing them that a substitution is about to take place. Will then turn around and tell that table who it is. And then they communicate via radio to Scott. Scott tells me with cards and goals and whatnot. I'll usually wait for an official call of who it is. He'll see the official point at the center ring, which basically just says. [00:07:50] Speaker A: That there is a goal or not. [00:07:52] Speaker C: And then I'm waiting for the actual number and things like that before I'll actually give the official. [00:07:59] Speaker D: I look at the. I look at the linesmen making a run and the referee pointing them to the center. If they do that, the goal is valid, they can change it later, but they approved it, so we go with it. And then he's at that time collecting the goal information for the. I know the one that scored the goal. So when he goes, I said 23. [00:08:21] Speaker A: All right, so we're settled into the first half here, 20 minutes in after those goals with some activity, but just kind of give you guys an idea. So Chris will only call during this, during action play. He calls goals. He calls cards, which is yellow cards and red cards. He calls the player and what kind of card it was. He calls substitutions, who's coming off and on the field. Player names, numbers, and if there's water breaks, he would call those. There's not tonight, so he stays pretty. And then there were three sponsor reads that he calls. That's it. Besides that, she's watching, waiting for something to happen. And then same up here with sound during the game. It's really quiet right now because the drums stopped for a second through the games. In stadium, there's no sound, but when there's a goal, he does the sirens and the goal music. And then there's a couple other sounds he'll play in the game, but not a lot till halftime. On the screens in the stadium, I can also see, like, fan shots, so I don't know if those. Yep, there they are. There's some fan shots over there. Yep. So those come in through here as well. And he is the mastermind behind what gets played wherever. So, of course, right when I get up here, other team scores. Just heard him make the call for Alan Velasco substitute in. Ah, such a great. I'm excited for this big moment. He went out last season with his knee injury and. And on a personal note, it's been exciting to see if he's coming back because Jack sees him at PT, they go to the same place, and it's been pretty cool to have Jack get to come home and say he's sat on a table next to a couple pro MLS soccer players, and Allen's one of them, so. [00:12:33] Speaker B: All right, man. Here is remembering entering the match, number 20, Allen Falasco. Entering the match is number six, Patrickson Delgado. Substitution. [00:13:12] Speaker A: Chris is about to tell the stadium how much added time there is here at the end of the game. And they hear it in Spanish, too. Time. [00:13:47] Speaker B: Yellow 97. [00:14:01] Speaker A: Standing by for the final whistle. Side net. Side net. Gosh, that was close. I thought that was it. Wow. Replay. Oh, that was the chance I feel in there. About to blow the whistle. Yep, there it is. Ah. Dallas Fc. Dallas loses three to two. [00:14:52] Speaker B: Fillet. [00:14:57] Speaker A: I've got next time matching. [00:14:58] Speaker B: Oh, that's the. Yeah, that's the video. [00:15:01] Speaker A: Ready? Summit. [00:15:02] Speaker B: And. [00:15:16] Speaker A: That'S a wrap. They started the timer for the drone show. Then after that, there's a unified game. So these guys have another hour of work in here. I'm gonna try to get a sneak, sneak of the drones and fireworks for you guys. Stadium lights just went down. Chris did the ten, nine, eight countdown, and drones are taking flight. All right, that's a wrap after the drone show. Thanks to Chris and the team in here giving us this access, we can see some behind the scenes of in stadium production experience for FC Dallas. Thanks, Chris. Anything you want to add to tonight? [00:16:54] Buccambuso: Well, aside from coming up short, it was a fun game. The drone shows never miss. And with the. With the Special Olympics game coming up pretty, pretty soon here, it's fun to give the kids the professional treatment. [00:17:09] Walker: Yes. I love it. They're out there right now warming up, getting ready to play. Very cool. Well, thanks for joining us for this different episode behind the scenes for Hustle and bro. See you next time.
